There are so many reasons to love the beautiful state of Michigan, especially during the Autumn months. From the cool, crisp air to the crunching of the leaves under my feet, I just can’t get enough! I am constantly finding more reasons to love Michigan during the Fall; here’s a few!
The beautiful colors of the trees. Going up to the Leelanau Peninsula for the color tour is hands down one of my favorite things to do in the Fall. The lush trees turn beautiful shades of red, yellow and orange during a short period of time in October and my family never misses out!
The lakeshore is still to die for. I’m pretty sure all of Michigan’s Great Lakes are pristine during any season. It’s just a given. During the Fall, you’ll usually see people walking along the shoreline taking in the views of Sleeping Bear Dunes, which is exactly what I was doing when I took the photo above!
Pumpkin cream cheese donuts from Darts. Us West-siders are pretty blessed when it comes to food because there are so many great restaurants, especially when you’re in the mood for sweets! Dart’s Donuts is one of my favorite places to head over to when I’m craving sweets a little more than usual. Their pumpkin cream cheese donuts are simply amazing!
Apple picking at Robinettes. Tessa and I love to indulge in apples during the Autumn months, and at Robinettes there’s never a short supply of them! We love spending afternoons strolling through their orchards picking the finest apples we see. Then, when we’re ready for a break we can head to their picnic area and relax with some delicious cider in hand.
Lattes and sweets at Le Bon Macaron. There’s no other place I would rather spend a chilly Fall day than at Le Bon Macaron. The mocha lattes and salted caramel macarons will leave you begging for more! (And I promise, it’s very difficult to resist!)
