Good morning lovelies!

It’s your lucky day because today I’m giving you an exclusive sneak peak into the world that is Bridal Fashion. As you all know, I traveled with my Bianka Bridal team last week to NYC for Bridal Fashion Week and it was absolutely life changing. I was able to attend fashion shows and meet with designers that I have always admired. I even got the chance to interview Hayley Paige! ( See that post here ).

The big trends I was seeing during my time in NYC that I believe will be huge hits this next season include sleeves, dramatic backs, intricate lace/bead work and illusion necklines! Check them out below . . .

Sleeves:

Sleeves have always been such a classic, elegant feature on bridal gowns, and I love how designers have chosen to incorporate them for this upcoming season. Romona Keveža decided to design beautiful lace boleros that can be worn over top of the different gowns she showcased. The photo on the left just so happened to be my favorite! Hayley Paige chose to go with a more whimsical sleeved look that she actually used on several of her gowns. The loose, puffy sleeves are so trendy and I think brides are going to love them!

Dramatic Backs:

This trend has been popular for the last few seasons and it’s still going strong! Lazaro had a few styles that featured a dramatic back, including the above photo on the left. The lace up back is so dainty and sexy, while the Ti Adora gown on the right is dainty and sweet. There’s a dramatic back style gown out there for everyone!

Intricate Lace & Bead Work:

Probably one of my favorite things about bridal gowns are the unique details. I love seeing full beading and beautiful lace, and each and every one of the designers this season did not disappoint! Expect to see several designs with intricate lace patterns as well as beading that cascades across the bodice and the entire gown. Lazaro has even brought the infamous glittery “Cinderella gown” back for this season but amped it up with a gorgeous champagne color. Check it out on his Instagram here!

Illusion Necklines:

Last but certainly not least, illusion necklines! This trend has completely taken over and I can see why. The mesh lining gives brides just enough coverage while still keeping the neckline somewhat open. I love that there are different types of lining too. They range from light and dark nudes to ivories. Many of the JLM Couture designers showcased their illusion neckline styles at their Friday night pre show and I continued to see them from other designers during my time in NYC.

I am excited to see these styles evolve over the course of the next few seasons! Bridal Fashion has become an even bigger interest of mine since I began working at Bianka Bridal and I’m so anxious to share more with you through my blog. Make sure to stay connected for more updates!
