Good morning and happy Friday!
Earlier this week, while I was in the midst of celebrating my one year blog-iversary, I traveled to Chicago with my Bianka Bridal girls for the National Bridal Market for spring 2017. I was so excited to get back there after we had such an amazing time there last fall (see that post here). It truly was the most beautiful day to spend in the city!
We started the day out at The Merchandise Mart where we hand picked gowns from several designers’ spring collections. We love seeing how trends come and go at bridal market, and after our trip to NYC last October (take a look at that post here), it’s apparent that many trends are here to stay! There were tons of dresses with dramatic backs and intricate lace and bead work that caught our eyes whenever we would walk by. I personally love a little bit of drama and sparkle in designs, so I was definitely not disappointed. My favorite dress of the day was a beautiful sheath style gown, that not only had beading from head to toe, but it had an amazing sparkle cape to go over it! It was so unique and absolutely stunning!
After a long day at The Mart, we decided to have dinner at the famous, Eataly. I was so excited to go because I had never been there before, and after spending a month traveling in Italy last summer, I couldn’t wait to have the authentic Italian food that I missed so dearly. If you have not yet been to Eataly, let me be the first to tell you that it’s like a foodie’s paradise. Imagine a Macy’s department store but instead of clothing and accessories, it’s entirely food, wine, olive oil, and so much more imported straight out of Italy. You can bet I stocked up on my favorite treats while I was there!
I am so ready to get back to Chicago later this season. Tessa, Cassie and I are already planning a little girl’s getaway after finals week in April, so make sure to keep an eye out for those future posts! I hope you all enjoy your weekend’s and enjoy this wonderful Spring weather! xo
