Hello everyone!

For those of you who have yet to spend the Fourth of July on a lake in Michigan, let me tell you, you’re missing out! This past weekend Jacob and I took the boat out with a few friends for the first time this summer. Every moment that we spent on the water was a moment I’ll never forget. We launched in Holland early each morning and spent the days cruising around from Lake Macatawa to Lake Michigan.

Holland is one of my favorite cities on the west side of Michigan, and their beaches are unlike any other. From the sandy shorelines to the charming red lighthouse, I can’t get enough! Even when the sun was hiding behind the clouds, I was still able to see the beauty in this amazing beach town.

While floating on top of the waves in Lake Michigan, Jacob and I, along with our friends, decided that we would drive further north towards Grand Haven for a little day trip. I had never gone there by boat before, so I was so eager to arrive. Once we anchored near the pier in Grand Haven, we were fortunate enough to hitch a ride on a fellow boater’s dinghy to shore. It was so fun being able to get off and burry our toes in the sand while enjoying the upbeat atmosphere.

We finished the night off with sparklers and fireworks; the way every Independence Day should end. I can’t wait for more days spent out on the lake with good friends and sunshine.

xoxo
