Good morning beautiful people!
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend so far! I am currently enjoying a late lunch at my Airbnb in Malága, Spain, where I have been staying for the past few days. It is stunning here! I can’t wait to share with you details on my time in this beautiful city, but until then, I want to talk to you all about my day trip to Monaco!
Monaco was like a dream I never knew I could live. It’s like I jumped right into an episode of Gossip Girl the moment I stepped outside of the train station. The views were breathtaking, from the mountains all the way down to the coast line. To start the day off, a couple of my friends and I grabbed lunch at a small cafe and chatted about how excited we were to be there. I had the most amazing meal, but was in desperate need of some cardio after finishing it all! We decided that taking a walk up towards the mountains was exactly what we needed. We climbed a few hundred stairs at least before stopping to snap some photos. The views were out of this world!
When it comes to shopping, Monaco is the place to be! After climbing back down towards the city center, Torie, Alex and I talked our friend Steven into stopping by a few stores. Since the Grand Prix was taking place while we were there, many of the roads were blocked off, but we were still able to visit a few of our favorite stores. I even got to try on a one of a kind, couture Ellie Saab dress from a store called Your’s. It definitely made my heart skip a beat! (And yes I’m still trying to convince my dad to buy it for me…)
We walked along beautiful side streets that led to more shopping stores and even a small farmer’s market, before deciding to head up to the Grimaldi Palace. I’m pretty sure I thought my legs were going to give out after hiking up that incline, but it was all worth it once I saw the palace. It was beautiful! Not only were were able to get an even better view of the Grand Prix down below, but we even saw a Grimaldi arriving at the palace!
Although my time in Monaco was brief, it was still better than I ever imagined. I can’t wait to return someday and be able to walk those same streets making even more fabulous memories.
