Good morning everyone!
I am so eager to share with you all the details of my second hand made tulle skirt! I have been hard at work designing and creating my very own tulle skirts ever since my blog-iversary last month (read that post here). It has been overwhelming at times, but I am learning so many new things about sewing and creating clothing! I’ve actually been throwing around the idea of possibly attending art school after graduation next Spring because I have completely fallen in love with it.
Anyways, this skirt might just be my new favorite (get ready for me to say that about every skirt I make lol). I was not only inspired by my favorite childhood books and movies, Eloise at the Plaza, but also by the idea that a short black skirt can be worn so many different ways! By pairing it with a simple graphic tee, jean jacket, and white converse sneakers, I have turned what is typically a more formal piece, into a casual every day look! However, I could dress it up just as easily too with a blouse, and adorable flats.
Although the wind isn’t doing the skirt (or my hair) justice in some of the photos above, I really love how it turned out! Those late nights spent at my Aunt Liz’s house working on it really paid off! I am already starting on my next three skirt designs for next month and for trip I’m taking to Europe, so make sure to stay connected!
xoxo
